On 14 February 2023 Charlotte and Wayne Evans presented a cheque for £1,200 to Mr David Craddock and members of the Ty Bryngwyn Hospice Trust. Wayne had been part of the North Dock Dredgers but suddenly became unwell and was diagnosed with Terminal Stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Charlotte set herself challenges to fight with Wayne and raise as much money for the charities and support groups on which they would be dependant on in the very near future.
North Dock Dredgers organised a Christmas Fundraiser and asked Wayne where he would like the monies to go. He chose Ty Bryngwyn Hospice as this is where he wishes to spend his final days.
Charlotte and Wayne, who have 2 children, take life day by day and keep a positive mindset.
