Lady Mary Mansel Lewis ~ Former President of the Ty Bryngwyn Hospice Trust

Sad news has been received that Lady Mary Mansel-Lewis died peacefully on 7 September 2017.  A memorial service is to be held on 16 October 2017 at Llanelli Parish Church.

Mr Marlston Morgan’s Collection Boxes the New Drovers Public House, Thomas Street

The New Drovers have designed a poster informing customers how much has been raised with Mal’s Little Red Charity Boxes’.  Since 2014, £3,114.64 has been collected

Carmarthenshire Young Achiever Awards 20 October 2017

Mrs Anita Roberts and Mrs Iris Hughes represented the Hospice Committee at the above awards ceremony and accepted a donation of £547.50.

Charity Buffet ~ Llanelli Town Mayor (Cllr Jeff Edmunds) – 9 November 2017

Members of the Hospice Committee attended this very enjoyable event.  Proceeds raised will go to the Town Mayor’s charities i.e. Ty Bryngwyn Hospice and the Teenage Cancer Trust

Fundraising Event ~The Angel, Llandeilo 11 November 2017

The above event was a great success and the song released by Ben Fernihough (in memory of his father Dave) is selling well with all proceeds to go to the Hospice.  A link to the song has been placed on the Ty Bryngwyn website

Festival of Light 2017 ~ 13 November 2017

The Festival of Light Service of Dedication attracted hundreds of people again this year and raised a great deal of money for Ty Bryngwyn Hospice.

Ty Cymorth ~ Their Light Still Shines 19 November 2017

Several members of the Committee attended this very moving and well attended event at the National Botanical Garden of Wales.

The Team organised a charity event to raise money for the Hospice and presented £880.00

Diane Henry ~ Barclays Bank Llanelli

Diane has now completed her charity fundraising for Ty Bryngwyn – 5 marathons for her 50th birthday – and presented £1,563.26 to the Hospice Committee

Mr Robert Davies, Director, Just Wales Ltd

Mr Robert Davies, Director, completed the Cardiff Half Marathon in aid of Ty Bryngwyn Hospice and Ty Cymorth.  A donation of £1,030 received by Ty Bryngwyn.

Llanelli Crematorium – Advent Memorial Service ~ 6 and 13 December 2017

At the above service Mr David Craddock (Chairman) accepted a cheque for £3,629.05 from Assistant Manager Claire. On 13 December a further cheque for £3,174.95 was presented to Mrs Susan Thomas by Mr Kevin Davies, Superintendent.  These monies have been raised from the recycling scheme and Mr Davies particularly wished to support a local and very worthwhile charity.

The Philharmonics Rock and Pop Choir 10 December 2017

Mrs Audrey Jenkins, Mrs Iris Hughes and Mr Brian Gould were given a very warm welcome at the Stradey Park Hotel and were presented with a cheque for £1,500.  The Philharmonics selected Ty Bryngwyn Hospice as their 2017 Charity of the Year and raised a total of £1,700.00.

Plaid Cymru Llanelli 18 December 2017

Plaid Cymru presented a donation of £150 to Ty Bryngwyn Hospice Committee adding that they were very pleased to show their support for such a treasured facility

INVNCBL the Triad 2017 19 December 2017

Sarah Evans, Jessica Walters and Sian Thomas presented a cheque for £1,590 to the Hospice Committee being money raised from 3 obstacle courses.
