20 Year Anniversary – Tŷ Bryngwyn Hospice In Patient Unit
The event at the Diplomat Hotel was a great success and approximately 140 people attended. Mr Kevin Johns MBE who had kindly agreed to compère this event, had conducted the proceedings competently and with good humour.
During the evening talks were given by Dr Pat Purcell who spoke eloquently about the Past, David Rogers (Senior Charge Nurse) who spoke professionally about the Present and Lorraine Corscadden who spoke knowledgeably about the Future in relation to the garden project.
Grateful thanks to Committee Member Mr Mike Evans for putting together the Power Point demonstration which ran throughout the evening and gave a snapshot of the history of Tŷ Bryngwyn Hospice since the start of fundraising in 1986.
Entertainment provided by Côr Curiad Ladies Choir and Vocal Trio Linzi Rogers, Sarah McGinley and Ashley Eynon- Davies was received enthusiastically by those present.
The raffle raised £924.28p and our thanks go to everyone for their generosity.
At the end of the evening, Mr David Craddock (Chairman & Trustee) gave the Vote of Thanks which included special thanks to the Staff of Tŷ Bryngwyn Hospice, Dr Kevin Jones (former Chairman of the Hospice Appeal Committee from 1986 until 1998) and Members of the Committee for their help in organising this very special event. Thanks were also extended to the management, chefs and the serving staff of the Diplomat Hotel for their excellent service.
