Sister Marie Shannon

The bluebells which were seen this Spring 2016, in the grounds of Ty Bryngwyn, were planted some years ago in memory of the late Sister Marie Shannon, who worked at Ty Bryngwyn as a Macmillan Nurse. The planting of the flowers as a perennial memory to Sister Marie was suggested by her friend and colleague, Sister Eileen Jones. Eileen was joined by some of the committee members and other volunteers in the planting.

Over the years there have been occasions when some of the day patients have assisted in the gardening work. This proved beneficial to them as well as the in-patients who were able to admire their handiwork from their rooms.
